Final Update – LOCATED – Missing Endangered Adult – Joan Kaloustian – 2022-21400
FINAL UPDATE – 07-25-22
On 07-24-22 at approximately 5 p.m., Joan Kaloustian was located by deputies in Levy County, Florida. Sadly, Mrs. Kaloustian was deceased.
Levy County deputies responded to a heavily wooded area west of U.S.-19, after receiving a call from an individual who had been hunting in the area. While hunting, the individual stumbled upon Mrs. Kaloustian, along with her van, on a muddy trail deep in the woods. The van was stuck in the mud.
The area where Mrs. Kaloustian was located is approximately 85 miles from her residence in Highpoint.
Foul play is NOT suspected.
Next-of-kin notifications have been made.

UPDATE #2 – 07-21-22
Joan Kaloustian is still missing.
It is still believed that Mrs. Kaloustian may be operating her white 2012 Dodge Grand
Caravan, bearing Florida handicapped tag/JX37U.
The last time family members had contact with Mrs. Kaloustian was on 07-17-2022 at
approximately 8 p.m., when they spoke with her via the landline telephone at her residence.
Mrs. Kaloustian resides within the Highpoint community, in Brooksville.
Mrs. Kaloustian, who is diagnosed with dementia, left her residence after 8 p.m. on 07-17-
2022 and before 5 p.m. on 07-20-22. It is unknown if she has any of her prescribed
medication with her.
