The Hernando Museums will once again take part in the Smithsonian Magazine’s nationwide program of promoting museums by offering free admission to selected museums. Therefore, the three museums owned by the Hernando Historical Museum Assoc., Inc. will be open free of charge to anyone having a Smithsonian event ticket on Saturday, September 17th during the hours of 11 am to 4 pm. Over 50 Florida museums will be participating. You must select one of the three buildings to print tickets. However, you will be able to visit all three buildings in Brooksville with the same ticket. Tickets on your cell phone will also be accepted. Get your free tickets (for two people) by going to http://www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday. Regular admission prices will be charged without the Smithsonian tickets, so please get your tickets in advance.
