Scoop: Much has always been said about the Eagles’ triple option attack, but they’ll be throwing a wrinkle into the offense this fall. Springstead will be running some spread concepts as they bring back quarterback Ayden Ferguson, who was out for much of last year due to injury. Now with a new approach on offense and the same tough defense, the Eagles could turn the corner under Garofano.

Q&A with Coach Garofano
What is your main focus this season?
Winning and making the playoffs. Get better every day, every week, and every game.
Describe the players on the team. Who are your team leaders and who ‘s your up and coming talent?
Senior Ayden Ferguson is our QB and our leader. He’s a field general with a ton of talent to both run and throw the ball with an uncanny ability to read defenses. Senior Madden Buratzcuk is a playmaking physical linebacker that leads the defense. Senior Luca Garguilo is our only 2 way starter plays both running back and cornerback. Sophomore Connor McCazzio is our lead running back and up and comer. Sophomore Tyree Davis is our slot receiver and up and comer. Freshman CJ Cresser is starting at corner and also handles the kick return duties.
What game are you most excited for?
I’m excited for every game. Whatever game we have that week is what I’m most excited for.
Which game/games are going to be the most challenging in your view?
Each game creates its own set of challenges. The district games have the most importance for the playoffs so those are challenging.
