Thursday night September 22, 2022, inside the Hernando High School Gym, the Leopards went up against the Lecanto Panthers girls’ volleyball team in a non-conference game for the third time.
Each time these two teams went head-to-head the Panthers struck hard on the Leopards: 9/6/22 Hernando 0 – Lecanto 3 and 9/10/22 Hernando 0 – Lecanto 2. Once again on Sept 24, 2022, the Lecanto Panthers came out on top 3-0.
Games were well fought out Thursday night. Both teams battled it out on the court, with Lecanto leading each game 1st 25-15, 2nd 25-15, and 3rd 25-23. Leopards struck hard to come back and take the last game but fell short.
The power of the kill shots coming from both sides of the court, and the volleys made the stands light up with excitement.
