HCSO Deputies help with Hurricane Ian recovery

Seven members of the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Rapid Response Team have deployed to DeSoto County to assist with recovery efforts there.

Sgt. Joey Stokes and Deputies Michael Junker, Matthew Weber, Vincent Mascitelli, David Martin, Abhinav Sharma, and Chris Morito will distribute supplies, help clear roadways, and provide other support services. “Whatever needs to be done,” said HCSO Deputy Public Information Officer (PIO) Michael Terry.

The team will remain in DeSoto County at least through early next week, he said.
