After a two-year hiatus, the “Running of the Wieners” returned to Marker 48 on Oct. 15, 2022.
The day’s events included:
Pumpkin and sign painting station, Pet costume contest, Small dog any breed race, Medium dog any breed race, Large dog any breed race, Dachsund only race, Live music in bier garden, a Drindle and Lederhosen contest, and Stein Holding Competitions.
All proceeds benefited the Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida.
Marker 48 Oktoberfest tap list included a Czech Amber lager brewed with floor-malted Bohemian Pilsner and layers of Munich Malt to make up this full-bodied, malt-forward, crushable beer. 5.3% ABV
Also offered is an Oktoberfest Marzen on tap and in fresh 4-packs.
