The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is hoping the public can help locate a missing Oregon man who was last seen in Brooksville earlier this month.
HCSO Public Relations Manager Denise M. Moloney said that Timothy James Braddy was reported missing in Oregon on Dec. 9. He was last seen in the area of Centralia Avenue and Commercial Way on Dec. 13.
According to Moloney, HCSO investigators found Braddy’s 2018 red, 4-door Ram truck with an Oregon plate on US-19 near Hexam Road.
She said that the local case involves just the abandoned vehicle.
“The main case, the Missing Person case, is out of Oregon,” she said. “The only thing we have here, at this time, is an abandoned vehicle case.”
During the subsequent investigation, deputies from the HCSO Aviation and Mounted units, drones, bloodhounds from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) K-9 unit, as well as Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS) deputies on side-by-side patrols were deployed to the area where the truck was found. Investigators also conducted interviews with witnesses in connection with the case.
“We have scoured the area where the vehicle was located, but so far, we have not located (Braddy),” Moloney said.
As the search continues, anyone with information about the case or who knows where Braddy may be located should call Major Case Detective Vargas at 352-442-4758.
Anyone who sees Braddy may also call 911, Moloney said.
