America’s Got Talent competitor to perform at Musicade

When guests enjoy this weekend’s Musicade at Friday Night Live, they will hear the sonorous vocal stylings of a plethora of talented musicians, including a community star. This is an artist that is once again taking the stage after a well-deserved break. Friday Night Live is put on by Brooksville Main Street and the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs and is a vibrant live music event happening at area businesses across Downtown Brooksville on March 10, from 5-9 pm.

Performing at the Morris building courtyard will be Arianna Grzyb of Brooksville, who, six years ago, mastered the first round of America’s Got Talent competition. “My family and I jumped in the car to Jacksonville to go to the America’s Got Talent competition, where I made it past the first round of AGT, judged by the producers,” Arianna Grzyb explained.

Grzyb has also performed “The Star Spangled Banner” at Tropicana Field. Yet, for the most part, recently, Grzyb has sung for an audience of one: Nora, her three-year-old daughter with husband Keanan. “Nora loves to sing and dance,” she explained. “We do duets.”

It was, in fact, when Grzyb took Nora for dance lessons at Stir Up The Gift, a Hernando County-based nonprofit arts organization that teaches dancing, singing, and acting skills to area children, that her own artistic gifts were rediscovered.

“My mother told Melinda Crandle, director of Stir Up The Gift, that I could sing,” Grzyb explained. “Melinda asked me to sing. And when I did, she asked to represent me. Soon she submitted my audition tape for Musicade, and they said, ‘We have to have her.'”

Although focusing for the last few years on motherhood and her part-time remote job for Spa Manufacturers, Grzyb always knew that she someday would return to music, her first love. And after Musicade, her next stop will be the Blueberry Festival of Brooksville, where she also is scheduled to perform.

“I’ve been singing ever since I could talk!” she declared. She has experience in chorus, musical theater, and karaoke, counting jazz, country, and pop as her favorite genres. Naming Amy Winehouse her favorite singer, she herself has recorded music and hopes in the future to write her own songs and perform them.

Hear Arianna Grzyb perform at Musicade, free and open to the public. VIP tickets are available for $30. VIP tickets include access to the VIP lounge with drinks and hors d’oeuvres, a commemorative cup, and a special gift. All proceeds benefit the Brooksville Main Street Program and the mission to revitalize historic Downtown Brooksville. Learn more at www.welovebvl.org. This event is made possible due to support and a grant given by the Florida Division of Arts and Culture.

Arianna Grzyb has some special advice for other women who seek to rediscover their artistic gifts. “Just go out and do it,” she urged. “Nothing is impossible.”
