A Brooksville woman is facing multiple drug-related charges after deputies from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) found her napping in her car at a gas station.

Just before 2 a.m., on March 8, an HCSO deputy spotted a woman asleep in a vehicle parked at a gas pump at the 7-Eleven gas station at 7170 Barclay Avenue in Brooksville.

A gas station employee told the deputy that the vehicle had been sitting next to the fuel pump for more than 45 minutes.

After approaching the vehicle, the deputy found the driver, Nicole Pellikan, age 30, asleep in the driver’s seat with a firearm lying in her lap.

A closer look revealed that two glass pipes used for smoking drugs were also located inside the vehicle.

After Pellikan was removed from the vehicle, the deputies also found a backpack containing her driver’s license and a small baggie containing 20 grams of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Pellikan, who had a valid conceal carry permit, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Equipment.

She was booked into the Hernando County Detention Center and was released on March 9 on a $16,000 bond.
