A rousing success is how organizers are describing the 2023 Hernando Parade of Homes, presented by Sunrise Propane and the Hernando Builders Association. This grand home tour, a parade of residential designs that rank among the most beautiful, creatively designed, and technically groundbreaking, ran February 24 – March 12, taking place in models located across Spring Hill and online via the magic of virtual models.
“We had really good traffic, especially during the weekends,” said event chairperson Haile Eaton. “We’d have four to six groups of potential customers coming through at one time.”
The tour featured 13 homes from nine builders, sized 1400 to 2500 square feet, and showcasing the latest and greatest available in home designs, innovative home products, decor, technology, energy efficiency, and comfort, all of which can be customized to suit homeowners’ needs.
“People were shopping for their dream homes,” said Eaton. “They were seeing what was available in these homes and getting out and about in Hernando County, whether they traveled across Spring Hill or checked out our virtual models from the comfort of their own homes.”
And as they toured these models, guests interacted with builders and designers.
“They reacted very favorably to the way that the builders dressed up their models,” said Eaton, also vice president of ProbuiltU.S., “And the way they answered all of their questions and inspired them with ideas for their dream homes.”
Many guests, said Eaton, preferred either the coastal Mediterranean or farmhouse style of homes. And as an executive at ProbuiltU.S., she reported strong interest in her company’s Camilla, “a southern-style home, with cedar shutters, Hardie Board gables, craftsman columns, and many other features.”
“That’s the good thing about Florida homes,” she said. “So many styles are available.” Guests also seemed to favor the fact that the Parade of Homes, after being known as the Showcase of Homes last year, was once again a Parade in 2023–one celebrated in conjunction with the Florida Home Builders Association.
“The success of this year’s Parade of Homes shows that the homebuying market is very strong here in Hernando County,” summarized Eaton. “People are buying, and we have a lot to offer them.”
