Hernando County residents may now renew their driver’s licenses, get new ones or obtain state identification cards at the Hernando County Tax Collectors Courthouse office at 20 N, Main St., Room 112 in Brooksville. Drivers may also replace driver’s licenses, process driver’s license clearances, and obtain Permit testing. The office does not provide driver examinations.
The services have been made possible because driver license-related equipment has been transferred to the Courthouse office after the renovation of the Tax Collector’s office on Highway 98 was postponed.
Appointments are necessary for out-of-state residents and for Hernando County residents who are not US citizens seeking driver’s license services.
