Check out the Hernando County Public Library’s new app

If you enjoy the Hernando County Public Library, then you’ll sure love to take their services on the go! Now, patrons will be able to enjoy its services on-the-go via the wonders of modern technology without even having to visit a branch. The Hernando County Public Library is launching an app, to enhance the experience of all those who are fond of the library!

“The Hernando County Public Library is moving towards helping patrons have the best library experience possible with our new Aspen Catalog and Hernando County Library App!” explained Cindy Loftis-Culp, Library Services Director of Hernando County Public Library System. “One neat feature of the Aspen Catalog is that it provides our patrons with the ease of finding all formats of material in one place.”

Patrons will most definitely want to check out the new library system app. “Our new Hernando County Library App gives the patrons everything they need right on their smartphone,” said Loftis-Culp, “including their library card.”

This handy app enables and empowers patrons to manage their accounts, create and view lists, view branch hours and contact info, search the library collection, browse and discover, check out e-content and much more.

“Hernando County Public Library allows you to explore your library on the go to find new books, movies, music, or your old favorites! Quickly search the entire catalog, including digital content, and place holds, check due dates and renew eligible titles,” stated a description found at the Google Play store.

Through the newly minted Aspen Catalog, patrons derive additional benefits; viewing, managing and checking out ebooks all in one place, browsing and viewing titles by format, discovering new titles through recommendations, managing accounts, and creating and viewing lists. “Check out these new features and if you need assistance in navigating and using them, contact the library,” said Loftis-Culp. “Staff are also excited for these new products because it helps them assist the patrons with more accuracy.”
