Celebrate springtime with the Hernando Symphony Brass Quartet

There is perhaps no better way to celebrate springtime than through the enjoyment of a sublime symphony in the park, a lovely experience of sight and sound performed in the most ethereal of settings. So, at 10 am on Saturday, May 27, the Hernando Symphony Brass Quartet will be presenting a lush – and free – seasonal concert at the Nature Coast Botanical Gardens. The gardens are located at 1489 Parker Avenue, Spring Hill.

“The weather is getting nicer, so come out to the beautiful gardens and listen to some great music,” read the May edition of the Hernando Symphony News. “They have chairs! You will find us under the gazebo.”

This particular performance, shared by HSO Conductor Michele DiLuzio, is intended as a musical celebration of the Memorial Day holiday. “The Hernando Symphony Brass Quartet will be performing at the Nature Coast Botanical Gardens on Saturday, May 27th,” DiLuzio said. “This is part of our monthly Brass in the Gardens concert series. Since it will be Memorial Day weekend, we will be including God Bless the USA and an Armed Forces Salute along with music from the big-band era to today’s top hits.”

Be assured guests will enjoy the concert in comfort, thanks to accommodations provided at the garden. “There are chairs and benches that are set up around the gazebo, which is where you will find the quartet,” said DiLuzio.

DiLuzio regards the botanical garden concert series as an exciting new way of reaching audiences throughout Hernando County. “We look forward to these monthly concerts in the beautiful gardens,” said DiLuzio. “We encourage everyone to come out to explore the gardens and listen to live music.”

Indeed, the symphony is on a search for more listening ears – an expanded coterie of loyal fans to enjoy its unique, masterfully performed variety of orchestral music. To this end, season ticket prices have been lowered for the upcoming 23-24 season of the Hernando Symphony Orchestra.

New season ticket prices are $36 per person. Visit the HSO website for instructions on mailing in season ticket purchases, or tickets can be purchased over the phone. General admission prices are $15 per adult. Student prices for students in grades KG-12 will remain at $5. Adult group prices – 10 or more adults – are $13 per adult. Ticket information and the music for the 23-24 season are on the HSO website.
