A Spring Hill man is in critical condition after the pick-up truck he was driving was involved in a three-vehicle incident that resulted in the arrest of a man from Tampa.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Spokesman Sgt. Steve Gaskins said that shortly after 8:30 p.m. on May 28, Wilfredo Reyes Jr, 51, of Tampa, was driving a Jeep Wrangler eastbound on SR-52, east of Shady Hills Road in Pasco County, when his vehicle veered into the westbound lane of the roadway and collided with a Chevy Avalanche pick-up truck towing a trailer driven by a 62-year-old man from Spring Hill.
As a result, the Chevy rotated and struck a Ford Ranger driven by a 53-year-old man also from Spring Hill who was also traveling westbound on the same road.
That man sustained serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The other Spring Hill driver was uninjured.
Troopers arrested Reyes Jr. and charged him with driving under the influence (DUI) involving serious injury. He was taken to the Pasco County Jail.
