The bells of freedom rang loud and clear at the Timber Pines Fourth of July community parade this past Tuesday. Community members from all across Timber Pines came together and decorated their golf carts for a big Independence Day celebration and barbecue. The whole event was sponsored by Affordable Golf Carts in collaboration with the Timber Pines Gen X Club as a way to give back to local veterans and show their continued support for them. These men and women put their lives on the line to protect us, and now it’s time that we give back to them! The parade was led by 98 year old WWII Veteran and Grand Marshal William “Bill” Casey, alongside President of the Timber Pines Military Veterans John Houlihan and General Manager of Affordable Golf Carts Curt Johnson. 100+ veterans and non-veterans signed up to participate in the parade and they surely brought the fun and excitement to this day that these local veterans deserve.
