The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is hoping the public can help them learn who is responsible for shooting a man in Brooksville.
According to the HCSO, on July 25, just shortly before 2 a.m., deputies and Hernando County Fire Rescue personnel responded to a 911 call reporting that someone had been shot and was lying in the road on the 800 block of Josephine Street in South Brooksville.
Upon arrival, they found a man who had sustained at least one gunshot wound lying in the street. After paramedics administered first aid to him, the man was taken to a local trauma center. His condition is unknown, the HCSO said.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident but are asking the public to share any information they may have about the shooting.
