A Brooksville man was killed when he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving on Lake Lindsey Road.

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Public Affairs Officer (PAO) Sgt. Steve Gaskins said that shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 5, a 52-year-old man from Brooksville was driving his motorcycle eastbound on Lake Lindsey Road west of Old Crystal River Road when he failed to negotiate a turn.

As a result, the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a wood fence.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to a local hospital, where he later died from injuries that he sustained in the incident.
