The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from our media partners and the community in locating a person of interest pertaining to an active Homicide Investigation.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:16 p.m. on 09-28-2023 at the entrance to the High Point Community in Brooksville. The individual pictured in the proceeding photo is a person of interest in this investigation. If you know this person’s identity or current whereabouts please contact the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office at 352-754-6830, or your local law enforcement agency.
Multiple deputies are currently on scene assisting with the investigation. The main entrance to High Point at Highpoint Boulevard is currently closed. Residents are being allowed access through a side entrance off Weeping Willow Street.
Residents who live in the area are encouraged to stay indoors until the investigation is complete. No additional details are available at this time.
