A pedestrian has died after colliding with a pickup truck driven by a man from Brooksville.
According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Public Affairs Officer (PAO) Sgt. Steve Gaskins, just before 7 a.m. on Oct. 9, a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck driven by a 25-year-old man from Brooksville was traveling northbound at the intersection of US-41 and Spring Hill Drive while a pedestrian was walking eastbound across US 41.
The pedestrian, later identified as a 40-year-old woman from St. Petersburg, entered the path of the vehicle, and the pickup truck subsequently collided with her.
The woman was taken to an area hospital, where she later died from the injuries she sustained in the incident.
