Vehicle 1, a Kawasaki motorcycle, driven by a 47-year-old Spring Hill man, was traveling eastbound on Coronado Drive, west of Whitewood Avenue. Vehicle 2, a Volkswagen All Track, driven by a 43-year-old Spring Hill man, westbound on Coronado Drive. For unknown reason, the motorcyclist lost control of the vehicle which entered crossed over to the westbound lanes and collided with Vehicle 2. Transported to an area hospital, the motorcyclist later expired from injuries suffered during the crash. The driver of the SUV and his two passengers suffered minor injuries.
