In July of 2023, detectives from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office received information pertaining to the possible possession and distribution of child pornography. An investigation was launched into the matter.
After further investigation, detectives uncovered the location of the crimes and a possible suspect, Nathaniel Doromal.
A search warrant and residential search warrant were obtained on December 14, 2023, for 24403 Evaline Street in Brooksville.
Once the search warrant was concluded, detectives interviewed Doromal, who admitted to the ownership and control of the email account used to commit the illegal activity. However, he denied having any knowledge of child sexual abuse material on his computer or cell phone. He did admit to using his account to upload pornographic material and provided the name of the website he frequently used to do so. Detectives recognized the website as one where child pornography can be obtained.
Nathaniel Doromal, 42, was placed under arrest for 12 counts of possession of child pornography and unlawful use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony. His bond was set at $125,000.
