A Brooksville woman died after she lost control of the car she was driving on Wiscon Road.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Public Affairs Officer (PAO) Sgt. Steve Gaskins said that at about 7:45 a.m. on January 22, a 54-year-old woman from Brooksville was driving a Nissan Altima sedan west on Wiscon Road when, just west of Mobley Road, she lost control of the vehicle.
As a result, the sedan left the roadway, entered the north shoulder and struck a tree.
The Brooksville woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident, sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
