Hernando County is inviting residents to apply to fill vacancies on various county government committees.
According to Hernando County Government Public Information Officer (PIO) Dominique Holmes, the county hopes to fill two vacancies on the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, including one person who is actively engaged as a for-profit provider of affordable housing, and another who represents essential services personnel, as defined in the local housing assistance plan.
A general contractor, building contractor or residential contractor is sought to serve on the county’s Board of Construction and Regulation.
In addition, one person is sought to fill one slot on the Library Advisory Committee, while two people are sought to fill vacancies on the county’s Fine Arts Council.
Applications for the vacancies are available in the County Administrator’s Office, 15470 Flight Path Dr. Brooksville, by calling 352-754-4002, or by visiting www.HernandoCounty.us/committees. Applications may be submitted via email to [email protected] no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 16.
These are voluntary, non-paid positions and may be designated as an alternate member position. All applicants must be residents and registered voters in Hernando County.
