Swamp Monsters on the Loose!

Swamp Monsters will be on the loose at the upcoming Swamp Fest on March 1, 2 and 3 at Linda Pedersen Park. The Swamp Monster Contest is on Saturday at noon so come and help support your favorite. Entries will be judged on appropriateness, creativity, originality, and amount of effort. So get together a costume and sign up by 11:00/11:30 on Saturday morning and win, win, win – $100 for 1st, $75 for 2nd and $50 for 3rd place. It’s always amazing what the contestants come up with. Coordinator, Ida Cannariato dons a costume to help promote the contest. There are many Arts & Craft Festivals but only one Swamp Fest with Swamp Monsters. She hopes to one day see them running everywhere throughout the Festival. If you don’t want to be in the contest but want to dress as a monster and pose for pictures, call Ida at 352-597-0003 and she will give you a free park entry ticket.
