The Hernando Symphony Orchestra is ready to grace the audiences of Hernando County with a rich and vibrant kaleidoscope of sound. HSO will be performing their final formal concert series of the season, Kaleidoscope, on Saturday, April 20th, at 7:30 p.m., & Sunday, April 21st, at 2:00 p.m. Both concerts will be performed at St. Frances Cabrini, 5030 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill.
“Music for this series includes nine new pieces that were purchased through our Gift of Music Sponsorship Program,” said Michele DiLuzio, conductor of the Hernando Symphony Orchestra. “This program allows patrons and orchestra members the opportunity to donate money for the sole purpose of purchasing new music for the orchestra. This allows us to perform new music each year. We are very thankful for our gift of music sponsors.”
This specially curated playlist, said DiLuzio, will be a rhythmic, joyous celebration of popular music. “Some of the music we will be performing is Happy – this is a fun, upbeat song that was featured in the movie “Despicable Me 2,” music from the animated movie “Sing,” music from “The Mask of Zorro,” selections from the popular 80s group Journey, The Banana Boat Song, which was made popular by Harry Belafonte, and much more,” she said. “Our Hernando Symphony Brass Trio will also perform a few selections during the concert.”

The season ticket price is $36 per adult for the three formal concert series. The front sections of the performance venue are reserved for season ticket holders. The general admission price is $15 per adult for one concert. The back sections of the performance venue are reserved for general admission ticket holders. The student price is $5 for students ages 5-17. The adult ticket price is $13 per adult, and a minimum of 10 adult tickets are required to be purchased. The group price is not applicable to students.
