A Hernando County Sheriff’s Office investigation into a tip regarding possession of child pornography has led to the arrest of Alexander Medina, age 23. Detectives obtained a search warrant for Medina’s online accounts and found two files of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Medina admitted to detectives to owning the social media account and viewing/possessing the CSAM during an interview at his home on Stanton Ave. in Spring Hill. Media was arrested for Possession of Child Pornography (Three counts), Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child with Intent to Promote and Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device. His total bond amount was set at $45,000 for all five counts against him. GPS monitoring and no contact with persons under age 18 years old are listed as conditions of his bond. No bond has been paid on his behalf.
