Cameron Michael Szada-Daubert, 23, was arrested on May 17, 2024, after turning himself in at the Hernando County Detention Center. An investigation was launched in March 2023 after detectives received information regarding possession of child pornography. Investigators executed a search warrant yielding four files of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
In July 2023, detectives attempted to question Szada-Daubert at his residence at 452 Moale Road in Brooksville, but he was uncooperative.
Further investigation found that the suspect created two separate online accounts in an effort to conceal his identity. The accounts associated with the fake identities were used to send and acquire nude images and videos of juveniles, according to the sheriff’s office.
Detectives found 13 accounts that the suspect had been communicating with. They were able to identify the owners of seven of the accounts, five of whom were juveniles. Three of the five juvenile victims agreed to assist law enforcement with the investigation. The investigation is still underway and detectives are currently working to identify two more potential victims.
Szada-Daubert was arrested and charged without bond for Possession of Child Pornography (4 counts), Show Obscene Material to a Minor (16 counts), Soliciting a Child for Unlawful Sexual Conduct using Computer Services (2 counts), Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Device (3 counts).
Szada-Daubert has hired a private attorney and a plea of not guilty was entered on May 21, 2024. An arraignment is scheduled on June 18 with Judge Daniel Merritt Jr. presiding. Another appearance is scheduled for July 16
