Keegan Addis, age 37, a documented criminal gang member with five felony convictions and Heather Gillespie, age 37, were arrested on multiple counts of trafficking in fentanyl and methamphetamine in Hernando County on May 15, 2024. Their supplier out of Pasco County was also arrested, but law enforcement has not released that person’s identity due to the ongoing investigation.

An investigation found that Addis and Gillespie’s clientele at various locations throughout the county was numerous. Detectives were able to purchase trafficking amounts of fentanyl from both Addis and Gillespie and identified their supplier, who was simultaneously under investigation by state and federal agencies. A federal search warrant was executed at the supplier’s residence in Pasco County and he was taken into custody by federal authorities.

Addis and Gillespie remain at the Hernando County Detention Center after law enforcement found a total amount of 14.4 grams of fentanyl, enough to kill more than 7000 people. The investigation also turned up methamphetamine and marijuana paraphernalia. Authorities also seized a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Addis was arrested at Sir Speedy plaza in Spring Hill, where he was found inside a camping tent on the property, according to the arrest affidavit.

Addis, whose criminal history includes five felony convictions and 11 misdemeanor convictions, was charged with three counts of Trafficking Fentanyl, one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, three Counts of Possession of Paraphernalia, two Counts of Possession of a Conveyance for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl and one Count of Possession of Marijuana under 20 grams. At his first appearances before Judge Barbara Jo Bell on May 16, for the three open cases in this matter, his total bail was set at $42,000, $37,500 and $37,500. The bond has not been paid. He is scheduled for an arraignment hearing on June 18 with Judge Merritt.
