Parents seeking a fun, faith-based summer camp will find much to like about this year’s Great Life Church’s Kids Camp, a vibrant “Xtreme Summer Camp” that balances fun camp activities with a nurturing, inspirational spiritual experience to enrich the mind and soul.

Great Life Church Xtreme Summer Camp will run July 8th–12th, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., and is intended for children ages Kindergarten–5th Grade. Great Life Church is located at 14494 Cortez Blvd, Spring Hill.
Each day of the Great Life church camp is filled with epic games, engaging chapel services, prizes, crafts, competitions, special attractions, small group discussions, Praise & Worship, and much more.

“This will be the seventh year that we are hosting a Kids Summer Camp experience at Great Life Church. This year, we are introducing the theme “Xtreme Summer Camp” with activities and attractions exceeding what we have ever done before,” said Julian Escoda, family ministries director at Great Life Church. “Our event is for K-5 students and will be taking place July 8-12 at Great Life Church. We are thrilled to be able to offer early bird pricing until June 7th, plus discounts for families with more than one child attending. We encourage every parent to register their kids for an unforgettable summer this July!”

Escoda promises that this camp will be brimming with fun and educational activities for kid campers. “Every day, there are unique and fun crafts that the campers complete; we host daily chapel services that have high-energy praise and worship along with wacky and fun chapel games that get every child up off their feet!” he said.

Then, there’s Tribe Wars at Great Life! “Each camper is divided into four teams, which compete throughout the week at our Tribe wars to win a trophy at the end of the week,” said Escoda. “We have outdoor inflatables, and this year, we are having a fun Science Xperience with attractions like dry-ice experiments and tons of science-themed fun. We also host a water-themed day with outdoor water slides, obstacle courses and water balloon fun on the last day of camp. This year, for the first time, we are also offering a foam bubble party with DJ music.”

Escoda thinks that this camp makes spiritual learning fun. “Our goal for all our church events and outreaches is for the tangible presence of Joy to be experienced amongst guests of every age,” he said. “For Xtreme Summer Camp, we incorporate Bible lessons and activities into every aspect of camp. One way we do this is by starting the day with prayer, scripture reading, and welcoming families to our campus with encouragement. In our daily chapel services, the Bible comes alive through live presentations that correlate with the passage being read to them.”

Beyond offering a hearty helping of amazing summer fun, the Xtreme Summer Camp promises to provide kids with a solid dose of life-sustaining spiritual enrichment. “Our messages are dynamic, remaining true to the living Word of God, and directed to kids,” said Escoda. “We also use this event as an outreach initiative, which is why Xtreme Summer Camp is open to kids across the community K-5th; they do not have to be an attendee of Great Life Church.”

A church camp, says Escoda, offers many unique benefits that area families are sure to appreciate. “As a church, we are able to welcome guests onto our campus, and we are able to openly share the love of Jesus, all while providing a fun-filled experience,” he said. “We aim to welcome all families, no matter their background, with compassion, patience and understanding that we have for every camper is the same as Jesus did to those in the Bible. Our campus is secure, all volunteers assisting are fully background-checked before participating and we hand-pick a team that radiates joy so that all of our team is a positive role model.”

The ultimate goal, says Escoda, is to provide young campers with the summer of a lifetime. “We are passionate about providing your child the BEST week of their summer,” he said, “and they get a chance to encounter Jesus in a fun atmosphere.”
