According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 33-year-old man from Ridge Manor riding a motorized bicycle was killed when an unknown motorist failed to yield to him at the intersection of Tall Pines Drive and Ridge Manor Blvd sometime before 4:30 a.m. on June 8.
The FHP report states that an unknown vehicle was traveling northbound on Tall Pines Drive and the bicyclist was traveling westbound along the sidewalk running parallel with Ridge Manor Blvd.
The victim was discovered by a passing motorist around 4:30 a.m. and FHP has not determined when the crash actually occurred.
