According to Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis, a person of interest is in custody in this morning’s shooting at El Sol Mexican Bar and Grill in Ridge Manor.
A traffic stop was conducted by Florida Highway Patrol on a vehicle meeting the description of the suspect’s vehicle and the person of interest is now in custody.
As a result of interviews, investigators have determined that the person in custody is from out of the area and involved in the shooting and this may be the only individual involved. Sheriff Nienhuis stated, “Right now it does appear, very preliminarily that it may have been a robbery that turned violent, but again we’re not assuming anything.”
The condition of the two victims shot have not yet been released.
