Hernando County Sheriff’s Office investigators obtained and executed a search warrant in Damac Estates in Brooksville, where they found “significant quantities of illegal substances, including fentanyl, trafficking amounts of methamphetamine, and marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia, two firearms, and numerous rounds of ammunition.”
HCSO had observed illegal drug activities at the 21334 Campbell Drive residence over several months of surveillance.
On Aug. 10, an active confidential informant equipped with audio and video monitoring was able to purchase methamphetamine from one of the home’s occupants, James Eric Batten, age 49.
Batten was previously convicted of a felony for attempted trafficking in oxycodone.
On Aug. 15, the search warrant was executed at the home.
Hollie Eikenberry, age 39 and James Eric Batten were arrested on Aug. 15 after the drugs and weapons were found in their home.
Eikenberry was charged with:
o Armed Trafficking in Methamphetamine
o Possession of Fentanyl
o Possession of Marijuana
o Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
o Bond – $57,000.
Batten was charged with:
o Armed Trafficking in Methamphetamine
o Possession of Fentanyl
o Possession of Marijuana
o Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
o Possession of a Structure for the Sale of Narcotics
o Sale of Methamphetamine (2 counts)
o Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition by a Convicted Felon
o Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device
o Bond – $219,000.
The following items were seized from the property:
– Methamphetamine – 82.2 grams (trafficking amount)
– Fentanyl
– Marijuana
– Firearms – 2
– Ammunition – 239 rounds.
