A couple was arrested after the boyfriend told police his girlfriend had cocaine hidden in a place that really shouldn’t be used for hiding foreign objects.

According to the arrest affidavit, Leonard Hall and Heidi Williams were apprehended on Sept. 3 during a traffic stop after a deputy saw Williams place her left arm on the center console and appear to hide an unknown object in her front waistband. Hall and Williams both had active probable cause for trafficking in fentanyl.

Hall and Williams were removed from the vehicle and detained. Post-Miranda, Hall admitted to handing the crack cocaine to his girlfriend to hide while being pulled over.

The pair had been the subject of a months long Hernando County Sheriff’s Office investigation. As a result of the traffic stop, HCSO executed a search warrant at their residence at 3289 Morven Drive in Spring Hill.
