On Wednesday, a 14-year-old Weeki Wachee High School student found himself at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Ocala after admitting to posting a bomb threat to Hillsborough County Schools on the social media platform “X.”
He said he posted the threat because he hates everything about school and chose Hillsborough County Schools because he used to attend school in Hillsborough. He did not have a specific target in mind.
Investigators did not find bomb-making materials at the student’s home or any suspicious documents, such as drawings or plans.
Nevertheless, the student was arrested and charged with False Report of a Bomb and the investigation remains active.
