Details Set for Organization Session

The Florida Senate will hold a post-election organization session at 10 a.m. Nov. 19, with the House following an hour later, the chambers said in a joint news release Friday. During the sessions, incoming Senate President Ben Albritton, R-Wauchula, will formally begin his role leading the Senate, while incoming House Speaker Daniel Perez, R-Miami, will do the same in the House. Also, new lawmakers will be formally sworn in. Lawmakers will start holding committee meetings in December in advance of the 2025 regular session, which will begin March 4.
