Brooksville, FL—A Brooksville man is facing serious drug charges following his arrest on November 25, 2024, by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit.
Detectives located Angelo Bugiada, 39, at a residence on Harrison Street while searching for a wanted individual. Bugiada, who was staying in a camper on the property, had multiple felony warrants for violation of community control related to grand theft auto and burglary of a dwelling. Although initially reluctant to exit the camper, he was eventually taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation, detectives discovered a black Adidas backpack inside the camper. Inside the bag, they found two containers holding a total of 54.9 grams of methamphetamine. Two pills identified as hydrochloride were also located.
Bugiada was transported to the Hernando County Detention Center and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, alongside his active felony warrants. He is being held without bond due to the severity of the trafficking charge.
