New Commissioner Ryan Amsler Sworn In

Commissioner Ryan Amsler was sworn in as the new District 1 Commissioner on November 19, 2024.
Judge Kurt Hitzemann officiated the swearing-in of Amsler, with returning commissioners Steve Champion (Dist. 5) and John Allocco (Dist. 3).

Following the Oath, Commissioners chose Brian Hawkins as Chair, Jerry Campbell as Vice-Chair and John Allocco as Second Vice Chair for the upcoming year.

Amsler’s district covers central Spring Hill, primarily contained by Cortez Blvd to the north, Commercial Way to the west and Mariner Blvd to the east, north of Elgin Boulevard. South of Elgin, the boundary extends eastward from Deltona Boulevard to Lema Drive. The irregular border includes small areas east of Lema and west of Deltona.
