A 76-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday evening, December 26, 2024, near the intersection of Mariner Boulevard and Hearth Road, according to authorities. The man was attempting to cross the highway around 6:34 p.m. when he entered the path of a northbound Honda CR-V driven by a 72-year-old Spring Hill woman. The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
