Hernando County Disaster Recovery Center to Close Jan. 31

The Disaster Recovery Center in Hernando County will close permanently at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, according to FEMA and the Florida Division of Emergency Management.

The center, located at the East Hernando Branch Library, 6457 Windmere Road, Brooksville, has been assisting residents impacted by recent disasters. It will continue operating from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until its final day.

Residents who have applied for federal disaster assistance should ensure FEMA can contact them regarding their applications. Updates to contact information can be made by visiting DisasterAssistance.gov, calling 800-621-3362, or using the FEMA app.
