The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing endangered adult. A Local Purple Alert has been issued for Catherine Nicole Allen, who has a history of irrational behavior.
Allen was last seen on video early Thursday morning, February 13, 2025, before sunrise. She was walking away from her residence on the 17000 block of Powell Road in Brooksville.
Allen is described as follows:
Race: White
Sex: Female
Date of Birth: August 14, 1989
Height: 5 feet 2 inches
Weight: 165 pounds
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Dark blonde/brown in color
Last Seen Wearing: A green top, gray and black camouflage pants, and no shoes
If anyone has seen Allen or knows her current location, they are urged to contact the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office at 352-754-6830 or their local law enforcement agency. Authorities warn not to approach Allen directly.
The Purple Alert was issued because Allen meets one or more of the following criteria:
She has a mental or cognitive disability unrelated to Alzheimer’s or a dementia-related disorder.
Her disappearance poses a credible threat of immediate danger or serious bodily harm, as determined by local law enforcement.
She cannot be returned to safety without law enforcement intervention.
She does not meet the criteria for a Silver Alert or the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Silver Alert Plan.
The Sheriff’s Office, alongside the community, is working to locate Allen and ensure her safe return.
