A registered sex offender in Hernando County was arrested on Feb. 14 for failing to complete his required 30-day transient registration, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
Joshua Stuart Henn, 28, was charged with one count of failure to complete 30-day transient registration, a violation of Florida law.
Henn was adjudicated guilty in 2020 in Hernando County for possession of a photo showing the sexual performance of a child. As a result of his conviction, he was designated a sexual offender in the state of Florida and is required to comply with strict registration guidelines.
On Jan. 2, Henn visited the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office to complete his required Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) sex offender profile 30-day transient registration. Due to his transient status, he must report in person every 30 days.
However, Henn failed to complete his next required check-in by Feb. 1. He arrived at the sheriff’s office on Feb. 4, three days past the deadline, placing him in violation of the statute.
On Feb. 14, Detective Marcacci located Henn at his transient residence and placed him under arrest for failing to comply with his registration requirements. He was transported to the Hernando County Detention Center and is being held without bond.
