A memorable Night to Shine in Hernando County was held on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at the New Life Christian Church, 275 Della Ct. (off US19) in Spring Hill. “It was an unforgettable celebration, honoring and valuing people with special needs in our county,” Al D. Squitieri, the pastor at New Life Christian Church, said.
Night to Shine is a worldwide movement led by churches all over the world. Its aim is to share the love of Jesus and celebrate the worth and value of people with special needs. Support to host Night to Shine was provided by the Tim Tebow Foundation. Tebow is an American philanthropist and former professional football quarterback whose outspoken Christian faith made him a cultural phenomenon, with his habit of dropping to one knee in prayer on the field becoming known as “Tebowing.”
“The evening was a huge success, and we were honored to be chosen as the church to represent Hernando County for a second year in a row. We are hoping for many more,” added Pastor Squitieri.
