The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested a man on drug trafficking charges following a months-long investigation, authorities said.
Timothy Fountain, 39, was taken into custody on March 3 after detectives executed a follow-up investigation stemming from a traffic stop in August 2024.
According to the sheriff’s office, the initial stop raised concerns about possible narcotics activity, prompting detectives to conduct an extensive investigation. Their findings led to Fountain’s arrest on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana under 20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Fountain was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Hernando County Detention Center.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
