A Spring Hill man has been arrested on multiple charges, including possession of child pornography, following an investigation by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
Colin Sebastian Fee, 24, was arrested on March 13 after detectives executed a search warrant at his residence on Dartmouth Avenue. Fee faces two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device. He is being held without bond.
The investigation began on Oct. 1, 2024, when Hernando County Sheriff’s Office detectives received information regarding the possession of child pornography. After gathering evidence, detectives obtained a court-authorized search warrant for Fee’s home on March 12, 2025.
According to the sheriff’s office, Fee admitted to owning the account containing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) but claimed he had not used it in 10 years. Detectives showed Fee a photo from the account, which he confirmed was of him. The same image was found on Fee’s phone during the search.
Sheriff Al Nienhuis emphasized the department’s zero-tolerance policy for CSAM. “Any and all tips are, and will be, meticulously investigated — no stone will be left unturned. Anyone who possesses material of this nature will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Nienhuis said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
