A 22-year-old Spring Hill man died Sunday night after crashing into a vacant home on Deltona Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the man was driving a Nissan Altima northbound on Deltona Boulevard at a high rate of speed around 8:10 p.m. When the vehicle reached a curve north of Regatta Circle, the driver failed to negotiate the turn. The car left the roadway, rotated, and struck a vacant residence at 4434 Deltona Boulevard.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
