FHP Troopers arrested Lucinda Rene Sims, 46, of Floral City and charged her with DUI Manslaughter and Vehicular Homicide on November 6, 2019.
Lucinda Rene Sims was traveling westbound on CR-476 (Lake Lindsey Road), east of Daly Road in a 2006 Ford F150 when for an unknown reason she lost control of the vehicle which traveled onto the south shoulder. Ms. Sims then over-corrected to the northern shoulder at which point the vehicle rotated, overturned and collided with several trees. Ms. Sims and passenger Ivary Stokes Jr., 63, of Brooksville, were then ejected during the crash and sustained serious injuries. A second passenger, Shari Rena Aaron, 43, of Brooksville, sustained fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
