Crank Works Bicycles is partnering with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Department on May 24th at 8am to host our first bike rodeo! We have tons of activities for the kids including: safety lessons, obstacle courses and so much more!
The FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) will be on site to hand out FREE helmets along with food trucks, the Sheriff’s Mounted Unit and the COPPS bicycle unit. Join us for a day filled with bicycles, learning and fun! Activities start at 8am and go until noon, we look forward to seeing the community out for this great event being hosted at Crosspoint Church!
The Hernando Sun is a locally owned weekly newspaper. The founders of the newspaper are Rocco and Julie Maglio. They saw the need for a newspaper when the Hernando Today newspaper closed their doors in 2014. Rocco is from Hernando, he went to school from Moton Elementary through Hernando High. Growing up in Hernando enhances his ability to provide background to ongoing issues. The Hernando Sun Printed their first issue in March 2015. They published monthly for a year before increasing to a weekly printing. The newspaper is delivered through the US mail, so it arrives with your mail.
