A 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer was traveling northbound on Coastal Boulevard at SR-50. For unknown reasons this vehicle crossed the raised center median and entered the southbound lanes of Coastal Boulevard and collided with the left side of a 2010 Dodge Ram that was stopped southbound on Coastal Boulevard at a red traffic signal. Following the crash, the driver of the Mitsubishi was transported to an area hospital and later expired. The two passengers of the Dodge Ram had minor injuries and were transported to Oakhill Hospital.
