Hernando County extends local state of emergency declaration

Brooksville, Fla.– As of March 26, 2020, the Hernando County Executive Policy Group has extended the Local State of Emergency declaration for Hernando County, PROCLAMATION NO. 2020-02.

 This extension provides Hernando County Government the authority to continue to take action as needed to ensure the health, safety and welfare of our community in response to COVID-19. This includes making emergency purchases, obtain additional resources, renting equipment, hiring workers, utilizing volunteers, etc. The Local State of Emergency extension will be in effect for seven days, or until rescinded or extended.
