Attempted Bank Robbery Suspect Charged

The attempted bank robbery suspect who attempted to rob a Spring Hill bank on Monday afternoon has been identified.

Michael Nathan Lee Rouisse, (WM, 01/27/95) was arrested Monday after he attempted to rob the Regions Bank at the intersection of Mariner and Cortez in Spring Hill around 2:15 pm.
Once in the bank, Rouisse told a teller he had a bomb, but fled the bank without any money.

Outside, according to Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) PIO Michael Terry, Rouisse hijacked a customer’s vehicle and fled south on Mariner Blvd., where he crashed into another vehicle, and a Hernando County Sheriff’s vehicle.

The Citrus County Bomb Squad assisted, and found no explosive device inside the bank.

According to jail records, Rouisse was charged with 1 count each of: Robbery, Threat To Bomb Resist Officer,Vehicle Theft,  and Fleeing / Eluding Police.
